Automatic exhaust valves are widely used in daily life, but they tend to leak over time. Why does this phenomenon occur? What are the solutions?
1、 Reason for leakage of automatic exhaust valve:
1. The floating ball inside the automatic exhaust valve is mostly made of plastic parts, and most of them are made of recycled plastic. After the system is running, the plastic float will deform after being soaked in high-temperature water for a long time, and in severe cases, leakage may occur, causing the float to fail to rise normally and ultimately leading to leakage of the exhaust valve.
2. The floating ball lever is made of ordinary iron sheet, and the connecting bolt between the floating ball and the lever is ordinary iron bolt. After long-term operation of the system, the iron rod will rust. If it cannot work properly, it will cause the exhaust valve to become flooded.
3. The sealing end face of the exhaust port of the automatic exhaust valve is mostly made of recycled rubber, which is prone to aging and deformation. After long-term operation of the system, even if the automatic exhaust is filled with water, the sealing end face cannot tightly block the exhaust port, which can cause the exhaust valve to leak water.
4. In the case of isolation between the circulating water of indoor hot water heating system and the primary network, the water quality will be affected by the equipment in the community heat exchange station.
Note: Generally, residential heat exchange stations do not have deoxygenation and ion exchange devices. They only install a simple dirt remover on the main return water pipe of the system, which cannot fundamentally control the water quality. In this case, the quality of the circulating water in the system is not clean, and it will corrode the system pipeline. When the dirt in the circulating water gets stuck on the sealing end face of the automatic exhaust valve, the water pipe will leak.
2、 Solving the problem of automatic exhaust valve leakage:
1. It is best to choose brass material, as cast iron is prone to rusting and stainless steel is expensive.
2. After heating each year, the automatic exhaust valve can be disassembled and cleaned to prevent scale from blocking the exhaust outlet.
3. It is best to use automatic exhaust valves in conjunction with each other, so that when there is a problem with the exhaust valve, it will not affect the heating of the entire room.
4. The automatic exhaust valve should be installed vertically at the highest point of the system, and there should be sufficient space around it for maintenance and replacement.
5. If users have poor manual dexterity and are afraid of trouble, it is best to directly purchase automatic exhaust valves with quality assurance.
The above is about why automatic exhaust valves leak and the solution to this problem. If you encounter automatic exhaust valve leakage in daily life, you generally do not need to replace it, you can continue to use it after repairing it.
